Our attention has been brought to an online publication credited to one Oluwasegunfunmi Adedeji otherwise known as @exclusive_oracle on Instagram bothering on the impoundment of an unregistered Toyota Camry Car at the Oja-Oba Axis of Ibadan Metropolis, Ibadan South-West Local Government Area around 0730hours of today 4th August, 2021.
Whilst we beseech the public to discountenance in its entirety the lopsided reportage, baseless arguments and fabrications contained in the publications, we wish to clearly State that the Executive Chairman of @official_oyrtma, Mogaji Akin Fagbemi PhD has ordered a full investigation to unravel the actual scenario that led to the incident.
Meanwhile, the Authority has received multiple public complaints from commuters and residents of the Oja-Oba axis on the indiscriminate parking of vehicles along both sides of the road corridors thereby resulting to ghastly crashes and severe traffic jam that impedes economic activities and subject innocent road users to untold hardships.
In its effort to nip the menace in the bud, the Authority had created a special Command at the Mapo Area to sensitize motorists and road users on the crucial need to maintain sanity along the route with several months of advocacy and warnings that any vehicle found indiscriminately parked would be impounded. To avoid confusion, Men and Officers of the Authority are permanently stationed along the route to give directions to those who must park pending when the ongoing renovation works on portions of the road would be completed and road signs installed.
As part of our preliminary investigations, we gathered that the owner of the impounded vehicle, one @exclusive_oracle defied directives of the stationed Officers, asking “do you know who I am” and insisted on parking on the unapproved part of the road corridor, hence, the impoundment of the vehicle after staying for over an hour causing avoidable obstruction to traffic flow along the route…
