Saki is situated in the northern part of Oyo State.
Historically, indigo was a natural dye extracted from the leaves of certain plants, and this process was important economically because blue dyes were once rare. … It is the blue often associated with denim cloth and blue jeans as the good people are known for production of indigo which they use to dye cloth, the town is also a centre of cotton weaving, they are very good in yams, cassava, corn (maize), sorghum, beans, shea nuts, and okra production.
Sango market in Saki has also brought the town into limelight as buyers and sellers attend the market every Thursdays.
