The Soun of Ogbomosoland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, has congratulated the Ajia Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Jurril Dotun Sanusi on his conferment with the traditional title ‘Okanlomo Odua.’
In a congratulatory letter, the monarch described the honour as a historic installation by the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Babatunde Adeseye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II.
He said the conferment was in recognition of Chief Sanusi’s commitment and service to humanity.
According to the Soun, “this historic installation is a testament to your unwavering commitment, dedication, and the profound impact of your investments on humanity.”
He further noted that Chief Sanusi’s “contributions to community development, hospitality, culture, and the socio-economic growth of your immediate environs have distinguished you and earned you this honour.”
The monarch, however, expressed regret over his absence at the ceremony, stating, “I regretted that I could not be present at the ceremony due to the fact that I was indisposed, but please accept my sincere best wishes.”
