Tommy Advocates Unity, Collaboration in Oyo PMS

The Chairman of the Oyo State Park Management System, PMS, Ambassador Wasiu Tomiwa Omolewa, widely known as Tommy, has delivered a powerful message regarding the necessity of collaboration and teamwork among branch leaders of PMS in the state.

In his address to branch chairmen, he emphasised that fostering an environment of inclusivity is vital for the growth and effectiveness of the organization.

Tommy urged the chairmen to ensure that all branch officers are actively involved in decision-making processes and organizational activities, reinforcing the principle that every member has a crucial role to play in shaping the future of the system.

He underscored the importance of inclusive leadership, calling on chairmen to carry all branch officers along in their activities.

The PMS chairman in the state believes that when everyone is given a voice, it not only empowers individuals but also cultivates a sense of belonging and commitment to the organization.

“This collective engagement is essential for building a united front that can tackle challenges effectively and enhance overall morale within the branches.”

Furthermore, Tommy stressed the necessity of clearly defining roles within the branches, pointing out that ambiguity in responsibilities can lead to confusion and overlapping duties, which ultimately hampers productivity and efficiency.

“By establishing distinct roles for each officer, the organization can ensure that everyone understands their contributions and how they fit into the larger framework of operations,” he stressed.

In addition to role clarity, he advocated collaborative decision-making as a cornerstone of effective leadership.

He encouraged branch chairmen to engage all officers in discussions and decisions that impact their operations, adding that this approach not only yields better outcomes but also enhances transparency, fostering trust among members and reinforcing a culture of accountability.

Tommy urged all post-holders to discharge their duties effectively, emphasizing that accountability is crucial for maintaining trust and operational efficiency within the Park Management System.

“By ensuring that every officer is mindful of their responsibilities, the organization can build a strong foundation for success,” he posited.
