The Chairman of Oyo State Park Management System, PMS, Alhaji Wasiu Tomiwa Omolewa Tommy has inaugurated a caretaker committee for Akinyele Trailer Park.
Recall that the State Chairman had about a week ago dissolved the executives of the park following the incessant crisis that ensued between two warring factions, one loyal to Seriki Hausawa of Ibadanland and Seriki Shasha.
The Akinyele Trailer Park crisis had not been solved before Tommy was appointed by Governor Seyi Makinde as the substantive Chairman of Oyo PMS.
Inaugurating the Interim executives on Tuesday during the monthly state meeting, Alhaji Wasiu Tomiwa Omolewa urged them to consolidate on the peace initiative his administration has embarked upon.
Tommy assured that his deputy chairman would be at the park on Wednesday to introduce the caretaker committee to members of the park.
Tommy however issued stern warning to members of the State Executive and other officials stressing that anyone caught in an act that will paint the image of PMS in a bad light in the public will be dealt with through the law. He added that individual will be made to pay the sum of two hundred thousand naira (N200,000) as fine.
He said those involved in the fisticuffs at Challenge Bus Terminals were being interrogated by the Police.
Tommy expressed his profound gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde for creating an enabling environment for all transport stakeholders to come together and work assiduously towards achieving sustainable peace which has made the Pacesetter State to become one of the safest in Nigeria.
