Mr Empowerment; His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde has yet again kept faith with the good people of Oyo State.
In tandem with his sworn agenda to lift the vulnerable citizens of the state( women,elderly,the indigent etc) from poverty to prosperity,the Executive Governor of the state through the Ministry of Women Affairs & Social Inclusion in collaboration with the Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs have facilitated the provision of Cassava flakes popularly called Garri manufacturing equipment to be distributed to clusters of Cassava flakes manufacturers in the three zones of the state.
In order to kick start the pilot phase of this collaborative intervention between the State and Federal Governments geared to enhance the production capacity of the producers of this staple food item,the Commissioner for Women Affairs & Social Inclusion; Hon(Mrs) Toyin Balogun and her team from the ministry visited one of the communities around Eleyele in Ido local government of the Oyo South Senatorial district.
It’s one of the production locus of this staple food item to conduct a needs assessment visit prior to equipment deployment.
The executives of the cooperative and members ecstatically appreciated the benevolence and commitment of the Governor Seyi Makinde led government to increasing the economic wallet share of citizens of the state.
They prayed for the success of the state and federal governments,promising to provide a suitable space for deployment of the equipments and they gave a commitment to not only maximise it’s utilisation once deployed but also to ensure to safeguard said equipments.
