In its effort to promote peace in the Nigerian communities, an institute, Ecolerite Institute for Peace Advancement (EIPA), has inducted Senior Special Assistant to Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde on Local government and Chieftaincy Matters , Ramota Agberemi Dabo and 26 others as fellows of the institute.
The induction of the 27 new fellows took place at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Speaking at the event, the President of Ecolerite Institute for Peace Advancement, Dr Kazeem Akande, noted that the recipients were selected from various fields of the seven spheres of society for their dedication to humanity
Dr Akande, however, advised the recipients of the fellow awards to put more effort in their various contributions toward the promotion of peace in Nigeria and Africa.
He said that “the institute is aimed at providing training that fosters understanding and provides communities with the skills to resolve conflicts. EIPA creates environments of peace.
Also speaking the administrative officer of the institute, Dr. Tayo Adegunju in his speech congratulated the awardees while he charged them to use their professional experiences in their various field for the promotion of peace in the country.
In her remarks, Hon Ramota Agberemi Dabo appreciated the institute for the fellowship award and pledged to continue to be a promoter of peace in Oyo State and Nigeria.
