The Chairman, Oyo State Water Corporation, Mr. Elias Adeojo has reiterated the agency’s commitment to providing safe and potable water for residents of the State.
Speaking in Ibadan, on Friday, Adeojo said to ensure even distribution of the production capacity of Eleyele Water Supply Scheme, the Corporation’s overhead reservoir inside the Letmuk Barracks, Mokola would be rehabilitated as soon as possible.
Adeojo, while addressing the engineers of the Corporation, saddled with the operations and maintenance of the Corporation’s machine and equipment, the reservoir will serve residents of Adamasigba, pace-setter Estate, School of Nursing, Apata as well other parts of Eleyele and Sango axis.
“When the repair work is carried out, the original distribution pattern which is by gravity would be adopted in as as much as it is cost effective”, he said.
While corroborating His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde’s remark that the State government is strategizing to position the Water Corporation of Oyo State for sustainable growth, recently in ‘state of the State’ programme, the Executive Chairman said that the State government is not leaving any stone unturned in the area of provision of potable water to the residents of the State.
He then charged the engineers to mobilize to the site and ensure speedy delivery on the repair work.
