The Chairman, Oyo State water corporation, Dr. Adebayo Anthony Adepoju, popularly called IBARAPA KAN has distributed relief materials like buckets with taps, hand sanitizers and liquid soap to curtail the spread of the deadly virus known as COVID-19 among the schools and Ibarapa community.
In an effort to support the ongoing strives and significant achievements of the Seyi Makinde led administration in the fight against the ravaging Covid-19 pandemic, the Chairman, Water Corporation of Oyo State Dr. Adebayo Adepoju yesterday donated relief materials which include buckets with taps, soap and hand sanitizers to all secondary schools across Ibarapa Central and North Federal Constituency with a promise to replenish until the full eradication of COVID-19.
In his words, Dr. Adepoju thanked his boss and leader, ever dynamic and responsive governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde for all the efforts and plans he has in place to curb the pandemic. He also praised him for his leadership and vision because evidently, our country seems to be following the blueprint, vision and the strategic plans of Oyo State in fighting the pandemic. Ajise bi Oyo laari, Oyo kii se bi baba eni kankan.
The partial resumption of secondary schools is in line with a need for our country to move forward even in view of prevailing circumstances. The J.S.S.3 and S.S.S.3 classes are very critical and pivotal milestones in the academic pursuit of our scholars. He charged all resuming students to make proper use of this opportunity by studying hard to ensure their success and that of Oyo state. He also thanked all the teachers and non academic staff of all schools for their hard work and dedication in creating the enabling environment for our success in the forthcoming examinations.
He further said the work of building our communities and our country is not just the responsibility of government; it is our collective responsibility. Therefore, he called on all well-meaning people across our great nation and beyond our shores to join hands with the government in the fight for the eradication of COVID-19. Dr. Adepoju thanked all those who have donated generously and also thanked those willing to give but may not be capable at this time, he prayed for God’s blessing for everybody.
The distribution of the relief materials took place yesterday, Friday 18th of July, in three different venues: Methodist grammar school, Igboora; Tapa community High School, Tapa; Igangan High School, Igangan. The event was graced by Principals of each secondary schools.
Chairman of ANCOPSS, Alh Isiaka Kareem, on behalf of the principals in Igboora, appreciated the efforts and contributions of Dr. Adepoju towards combating the deadly virus across Ibarapa.
Mr Ojelere John kehinde, the principal of Tapa community high school, on behalf of the principals in both Tapa and Ayete, thanked Dr. Adepoju for the distribution of relief materials.
On behalf of principals in Igangan, Mr Abegunde appreciated the efforts of Dr. Adepoju and his love for the development of the community.
