Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has reiterated his administration’s commitment to seeing young people prosper in the state.
The Governor stated this at the prestigious 25under25 Young Achievers Award organized by SME100 Africa, held at on Monday at Jogor Centre, Ibadan.
Makinde who was represented at the event by Hon Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Wasilat Adegoke lauded the ingenuity, creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit of youth.
The Governor noted that his administration would continue to support the youths to excel in various spheres of life.
“This afternoon, I represented Oyo state and my principal, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde at the prestigious 25under25 Young Achievers Award organized by SME100 Africa.
“The 25under25 award recognizes and celebrates the remarkable achievements of young entrepreneurs not older than 25 years. It provides fellows with a stipend, 12-month incubation, access to finance, and a diverse network of technical advisors, mentors and potential investors.
“The event, held at Jogor Centre Ibadan was a gathering of talented young leaders, entrepreneurs, and change makers who are demonstrating exceptional skills and commitment in their chosen fields.
“The state, under the visionary leadership of Engr Seyi Makinde recognizes the importance of nurturing and empowering young talents, and the state will continue to support and encourage youth participation in various sectors, including entrepreneurship and innovation.”
