As The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation(FAO) designated every 16 October as World Food Day which aim to promote global awareness and action for those suffer from hunger and need to achieve zero hunger, ensuring food security across the globe.
The Executive Chairman of Egbeda local government, Hon Sanda Sikiru Oyedele joined farmers in Egbeda local government to celebrate World Food Day at the House of Chiefs, State Secretariat, Ibadan.
The representative of the Chairman, Hon Tayewo Job Olushola, Super for Agriculture, said, Hon Sanda has done a lot for farmers in Egbeda Local Government to ease the food challenges facing by citizens of the LG by just given farmers farm equipments like cassava stem, fertilisers, sprayers, chemicals just to mention a few.
The farm produce was displayed at the exhibition ground by the Director of Agriculture and Natural resources, Mr. Salawu I.O, his deputy, Mrs Salaudeen F.A and other agric officers of Egbeda local government.
