The Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Youth and Sports, Kazeem Bolarinwa has said
the negligence of youths in nation building will not just render the nation’s socio-economic growth stagnant, but also cause a quick fall in national development.
Bolarinwa stated this on Thursday at JCI Ten Outstanding Young Persons of Nigeria (TOYP) and 2021 International Youth Day Celebration. While speaking on the theme “Youth Inclusion in The Socio- Economic Development of a Nation (The Role of Government).
The Governor’s aide attributed the Nigerian youth to a fragile bomb, if handled carefully, they possess the prowess to deliver into victory over her socio-economic hurdles while neglect will spell catastrophe on the socio- economic development of the nation as they find solace in antisocial vices.
Bolarinwa added that in a bid to achieve stability and development socio – economically, the Nigerian youth must be properly equipped and empowered to sustain all aspects of programmes and initiatives that target.
He however said conscious efforts must be made to address the various constraints to youth productivity in Nigeria.
