Yoruba Monarchs in FCT Visit OTOPE, Hail Gov Makinde on Infrastructural Development In Oyo

 

Yoruba monarchs in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, have lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for embarking on development of the Pace Setter State especially, the infrastructural projects which continues to enhance the socio-economic development of the entire state.

The monarch equally lauded Makinde for not abandoning meaningful projects embarked upon but not completed by his predecessors.

The monarch is seeking Governor Seyi Makinde’s approval to be celebrating Yoruba Traditional and Cultural Day in Abuja.

The monarchs stated this on Wednesday when they paid a courtesy call on the Director-General, Liaison Office, Abuja and Lagos, Hon Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji OTOPE in his office.

They noted that the policies and programmes of his administration are in the best interests of the majority of the citizenry, irrespective of ethnic, religious or political affiliation or social status.

The obas emphasised that the degree of commitment to good governance and speedy development was a clear demonstration of Makinde’s administration’s resolve to continue to be fair, just, accountable, transparent, equitable and dedicated to democratic ethos.

In his remarks, OTOPE appreciated the monarchs for the courtesy call and promised to deliver their request to the appropriate authority.

The monarchs are, Oba Olu Yusuf Taiwo (Tungan-Maje Gwagwalada), Oba Lateef Irekeola (Baasa Airport Road), Oba Hammed Bello (Gosa Toge Giwa), Oba Tajudeen Adeleke (Shaoka Kauta Lugbe) and Oba Okedara Adekunle (Old Karmo).
