Governor Seyi Makinde has advised aggrieved members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Oyo State to remain calm as, according to him, he understood their agitations because they are yet to benefit from his government.
Makinde, who was quoted as making this disclosure during the formal inauguration of the steering committee for Oyo state development plan on Friday, noted that those who are yet to get something from government are aggrieved while those who have gotten something feels time is moving too fast.
According to Oyo Insight, Makinde says, “It’s 2 years now, that is to those who are yet to get something from government, it is only 1 year and 5 months, they should relax, they will will also get something.”
“For those who have gotten something, the time is moving too fast,” he explained.
He, however, assured that despite the fact that the state had no state development plan before, his administration has continued to work assiduously to put the state on the roadmap of accelerated development.
Further investigation by GOALPOACHER NEWS.COM shows that some PDP leaders, chieftains, and members are aggrieved that they are yet to be compensated by the Governor.
