The Oyo State government may consider total lockdown of the state by the time distribution of palliative packages takes off with the aim of restricting human and vehicular movement. The team was led to the Oyo State Government House, Agodi, Ibadan by the Director- General, Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu. Richard Osuolale Akinjide finally surrendered to death few minutes ago. May his soul rest in peace. Nigeria, Ibadan lost one of her best legal luminaries. In his life time, he was elected into the federal parliament in December, 1959. Thereafter, he became the federal minister of Education. He was the Attorney General and Minister of Justice lead counsel to President Shehu Shagari in the celebrated case Awolowo vs Shagari suit NO: SC.62/1979, delivered by the Supreme Court on 26th December, 1979.
