The House of Representatives member for Ibadan Northwest/ Southwest Federal Constituency, Hon. Adedeji Olajide Stanley has extolled virtues of Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Mohood Olalekan Balogun, on the momentous occasion of his 81st birthday.
The astute parliamentarian, who was at the king’s palace on Wednesday, extolled the highly revered Monarch’s exemplary leadership and significant contributions to the socio-economic and political development of Nigeria, Oyo State and Ibadanland.
In his congratulatory message, Odidiomo who is the House Committee Chairman on ICT and Cybersecurity acknowledged Olubadan’s outstanding reign, which has ushered in peace, unity, and progress to the ancient city.
He commended the monarch’s unwavering dedication to preserving the rich cultural heritage of Ibadanland and fostering harmony among its diverse communities.
The lawmaker reiterated his commitment to working closely with the monarch to ensure continued progress and development in Ibadanland. He pledged his unwavering support for the monarch’s vision of a thriving and prosperous city.
Hon. Adedeji expressed his belief that Oba Lekan Balogun’s wisdom, native intelligence and guidance would continue to be instrumental in fostering social cohesion and economic growth.
The lawmaker however called on the people of Ibadanland to join him in celebrating Oba Balogun’s 81st birthday and to honour the monarch’s legacy by upholding the values of unity and progress that he embodies.
