Oyo State Governor , Engineer Seyi Makinde has signed the Executive orders Establishing the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the protection of the Mining communities against Insecurity and exploitation in Oyo State.
The Governor signed the executive orders during an event held at the conference room of the Governor’s office Agodi Ibadan.
In his remarks, the state governor Engineer Seyi Makinde said Mining is on the exclusive list of the federal government but the state must protect the mining communities from Insecurity and other vices
While reiterating that the newly established Ministry of Culture and tourism that was extracted from the Ministry of Information and Orientation, is in line with the Oyo state roadmap for sustainable development, 2023-2027, Governor Makinde also hinted that the state Ministry of Information and Orientation, would now have Civic Orientation duties to its functions.
