“I write to formally notify you of my resignation from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) with effect from today, Saturday, 10th January 2026.
“This decision has not come lightly. However, due to the prevailing uncertainties within the party at both the national and state levels—particularly the emergence of factions, caretaker committees, and the persistent lack of internal democracy—I believe it is in my best interest, both personally and politically, to step aside at this time.

“As we approach the 2027 general elections, I intend to prepare myself for a higher level of political engagement.
“Details regarding my future political plans and association with a new political party will be communicated in due course.
“Thank you once again for the support and camaraderie. I wish the PDP continued progress.”
