In a bid to ensure that the people at the grassroots also enjoy health care service in Oyo State, an ally of Governor ‘Seyi Makinde, Mr Benedict Akika, has taken free health mission to the doorsteps of the residents of Lagelu Local government Area.

Akika, who is also the founder of Omituntun Benedict Forum (OBF), on Saturday, presented free eye glasses and drugs to beneficiaries of the programme.

Medical experts were on hand to conduct free eye tests and complete health assessment for beneficiaries.

While speaking on the development, Akika stated that the gesture served as a platform that can further increase the trust people have in the Makinde-led administration to keep them healthy.

He said: “Human health is a state of complete harmony of the body, mind and spirit. And in order to ensure that our health remains stable and well equipped, we all need a healthy body, sound mind and tranquil spirit. The people know that the current administration in Oyo State is doing well in other sectors of the economy including qualitative health care delivery as promised and will never toil with that.

“When a person is really healthy and whole, creativity comes naturally to such a body. So, this has been my vision and mission to ensure that every human can have good health care.”

“All treatment, drugs, eye glasses are given freely. The Oyo State Government, under Governor ‘Seyi Makinde is working vigorously to ensure that citizens have good healthcare services and we need to give him the needed support in whichever way we can.

He, however, assured that the current administration in the state will continue to provide qualitative healthcare services to the residents irrespective of their age, gender, socioeconomic status and affiliations.
