The Oyo State Water Corporation, under the leadership of the Chairman, Hon. Elias Adeojo, is actively addressing concerns regarding an exposed chamber at Agodi Gate, located at the prison junction.
The corporation has exposed the valve in the prison that will enhance the flow of potable water to areas in Ibadan local government.
According to him, the valve in the exposed chamber plays a crucial role in diverting pumped water from the Agodi booster station through a 600mm underground pipeline to various neighborhoods, including Gate, Oje, Beere, Alekuso, Ogunpa, and Dugbe, as well as Oje Gongusi, Total Garden, UCH, Secretariat, Awolowo Junction, Bodija, and Agbowo.
He said while the exposure may lead to some leaks, it will also provide an opportunity to identify areas that require repairs.
Adeojo noted that the Water Corporation is committed to ensuring that repairs are made promptly once payment for necessary materials is secured.
These proactive measures, he disclosed, is aimed at maintaining water distribution and prevent any disruptions in the affected regions, demonstrating the corporation’s dedication to serving the community. effectively.
