As we continue to honour our roots and promote our culture for tourism and sustainable development, Egbeda local government, under the able leadership of our indefatigable chairman, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele made a remarkable appearance at this year World Egungun festival with cultural extravaganza of over 300 masquerades from different countries like, Benin Republic, Ghana, Brazil, and Cuba with Dignitaries across the globe.
The festival was organised by the Oyo State Ministry of Culture and Tourism, concluded in grand style on Thursday 15th May, 2025 at Liberty stadium, Oke Ado, Ibadan.
According to Hon. Sanda, “this is truly a world class celebration of our ancestral heritage and special thanks to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde FNSE, Chairman of this year Egungun festival, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, and the visionary team at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism led by Dr. Wasiu Ajani Olatubosun, for making this year festival a beacon of unity, culture, and economic potential”. He concluded.
