Eid-el-Fitri: Oorelope LG chairmanship candidate felicitates Muslims

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairmanship candidate in Oorelope Local Government, Igboho, Hon. Akeem Raheem, on Wednesday, felicitated the Muslim Ummah in the local government and Oyo State at large on the completion of the Ramadan fasting.

He charged the Muslim faithful to continue to reflect on the lessons of the season and to continue to pray for the peace, progress and prosperity of the local government and the state.
The chairmanship candidate equally called on all residents of the state to use the occasion of the Eid-el-Fitri to pray for the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, who according to him, has been leading the state with the fear of God.

A statement by the Media Coordinator of the ARA Campaign Organisation, Musediq Ayandiji, indicated that Hon. Raheem stated these in a Sallah Message made available to newsmen.

He said: “We have all observed the Ramadan fast in line with the dictate of Surah Al-Baqara, Verse 185 and we have made supplications to Allah. May Allah accept our acts of worship.
“I felicitate my Muslim brothers and sisters on the successful completion of the Ramadan and pray that Allah will accept our prayers.

“I am also using this opportunity to charge our people to continue to pray to God for our local government and Oyo State under the leadership of Governor Makinde, a good leader who has been leading the state to greatness with the fear of God.
“I urge the Muslim Ummah to continue to pray for the peace, progress and prosperity of our dear state and our local government. May Allah’s blessings continue to be with us all.”
