The immediate-past Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Engineer (Dr) Seun Fakorede has poured encomiums on his principal and leader, Governor Seyi Makinde on the occasion of his 56th birthday.
Fakorede was full of praises for the Governor in a message made available to newsmen in Ibadan.
“To the man who held my hands, inspired my confidence and led me into active public service.
“To the man who handed me a platform which was then tagged too big for a young boy .
“To the man who stood solidly behind me even when the majority opposed my entrance into governance .
“To the man who told me, “Seun, do not be afraid to make mistakes, as that’s one of the surest ways to grow”
“To the man who challenged and changed the socio-political narrative for the Nigerian Youths when it was most important.
“To the man constantly leading the vanguard of good governance with a striking difference.
“Again, as always, I seize this opportunity of your special day to thank you for all you’ve done for me and many other Youths in the State and beyond.
“I am particularly grateful for the privilege, access and confidence you repose in me.
“Happy Birthday, my Leader and Principal, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, May our good LORD continue to grant you the wisdom to build a State and Nation where peace and justice shall reign.
