Governor Makinde’s New Appointments Herald Fresh Hope for Development – Ibarapakan
Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency in the Nigerian House of Representatives, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has described the new appointments by Governor Makinde as a strategic one that will catalyse the actualization of Omituntun 2.0.
Congratulating the appointees on Saturday, May 18, 2024, Ibarapakan said the appointments of Chief Adewale Atanda as member of the Governor’s Advisory Council, Hon. Dimeji Ladapo as a Commissioner in the Civil Service Commission, Prince Falana Adebowale as Board Chairman, Youth Development Agency, Hon. Seun Fakorede as Executive Adviser on Youth and Sports, Dr. Akin Fagbemi as Chairman of the Oyo State Hospitals Management Board, Prince Falana Adebowale as Chairman of the Oyo State Youth Development Agency and Hon. Akinsete Olakunle as a representative in Oyo State House Corporation representing Oyo South would unleash a torrent of expertise, skills and needed experience in the various roles, propelling Oyo State towards unprecedented development.
Appreciating the Governor, the lawmaker expressed that Engr. Makinde’s inclusive governance has placed Ibarapa on the road to development, not just in infrastructure but also in the area of appointments into various sensitive positions of government.
The Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Federal Character, also assured his kinsmen in Ibarapa, who also contributed to the success of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state in the last general elections, to keep their hope alive, noting that Governor Makinde’s promise-keeping leadership has more goodies in store for deserving men and women in the geopolitical zone and beyond.
Hon. Adepoju, in his congratulatory text, charged the new appointees to make the Governor and Oyo State at large proud as usual in carrying out their roles.
He also reposed his confidence in the capacity of the appointees, saying that with their pedigree and track record of service in both the private and public sectors, one can only expect nothing but success as they prepare to assume their respective high and exalted offices.
