In a concerted effort to improve the quality of life for Ibadan residents, Hon. Elias Adeojo, Chairman of the Water Corporation of Oyo State, has announced ongoing initiatives to restore and enhance the water supply infrastructure.

The state government is actively rehabilitating inactive pipelines and repairing those damaged by major road construction, demonstrating its commitment to ensuring access to potable water for all citizens.

Meanwhile, residents in various neighbourhoods, including Beyeroka and Yemetu, have expressed their appreciation for the prompt response of the Corporation in restoring water supply to their communities.

Many were seen fetching water, and during interviews, they praised the efforts of the state government in addressing their needs.

Engr. Adedokun Adekunle, representing the Chairman of the Corporation, emphasized the collaborative efforts between the state government and road contractors.

He assured residents that water supply would be fully restored once road construction is completed, as repair works are being conducted simultaneously with these projects.

Additionally, Adekunle noted that the Oyo State government has resolved power supply issues at Asejire, which has significantly alleviated the operational challenges faced by the Corporation.

This proactive approach, has underscored the government’s commitment to ensuring reliable water supply for the people of Oyo State.
