Hon. Sanda Commissions Renovated Amotekun Office, Assures Residents of Adequate Security
Hon. Sanda Sikiru, Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, on Wednesday commissioned the newly renovated operational office for the Southwest Security Network code name Amotekun in Erunmu Ward 1 of the council.
This important development marks a significant milestone in the chairman’s ongoing efforts to ensure safety and security of residents.
The ceremony, which was attended by key stakeholders, government officials, security operatives, and members of the public, highlights the Hon Sanda’s commitment to tackling security challenges and fostering community well-being.
Hon. Sanda Sikiru, a dedicated political figure known for his proactive stance on security and development, has played a pivotal role in advocating for the establishment of the Amotekun’s office in the area.
In his address at the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Sikiru stated that the newly renovated office is to support the effort of Governor Seyi Makinde in improving security of lives and property while the office would serve as a hub for coordinating security activities, ensuring the safety of the people, and strengthening the relationship between the local communities and security agencies.
“We are committed to providing a safer environment for our people. With the establishment of this office, we are taking a major step towards empowering Amotekun to operate more efficiently and ensure that our communities are better protected,” Hon. Sikiru said.
In his remarks, Deputy Commandant Amotekun Corps, Mogaji Kazeem Akinro said, Hon. Sanda’s administration has recorded remarkable success in securing the lives and property of people of the Egbeda especially Erunmu Ward 1 as well as economic development while also ensures that the newly renovated office would continue to get the necessary support and collaboration needed to enhance security of lives and property by the Oyo State Amotekun Corps.
The former Minister of Mine and Steel and Co-Chairman, Oyo Elders Council, Elder Dr. Wole Oyelese, while expressing his satisfaction with the elegance of the projects, lauded Hon. Sanda for his visionary leadership and commitment to securing lives and property for all residents of Erunmu, which has translated into magnificent project for the Amotekun Corps in the area of Erunmu Ward 1 while urging indigenes and residents of Egbeda local government particularly, Erunmu Ward 1 to continue to support Hon. Sanda’s administration.
