In the wake of the deadly blast that rocked Bodija Estate, Ibadan on Tuesday night, the leading radio station in the Southwest region, Fresh FM Nigeria has revealed strong facts about the miner, occupants of the building, how the explosion started.
Investigations as conducted by the station’s Situation Room anchored by ace broadcast Journalist, Mayor Isaac Brown citing sources within the alleged company operating the Mining business associated with the bodija explosion revealed the followings.
1) Yousuf Sewane a Malian and former President of Oyo State Association of Miners, ACOWAS Chapter is believed to be the official tenant of the Bodija building that housed the mining explosives. He is believed to be in Thailand at the moment (location not ascertained).
2) Another known occupant of the Bodija building who goes by the name , Camara Mamodou as confirmed to Fresh FM by Resident Landlord Association welfare Officer said he claimed to be a commercial motorcycle operator is believed to be working for Yousuf Sewane.
3) Explosive of high calibre that caused the havoc at the ground zero house ,epicenter of the Bodija blast believed to have been brought to the location with a car on Tuesday evening.
4) Sources claimed the explosives were meant to be taken to kajola local government area of Oyo State for mining operations to be accompanied by security agents but this didn’t happen.
5) Agents working for Yousuf Sewane that were to pay security agents for escorts chose to short change internal arrangements to cut corners and moved the consignment to the incident location.
6) About 15 agents working for Yousuf Sewane were believed to be at the building as at the point of the incident and majority were alleged to have died at ground zero.
7) It is still not clear if camara Mamodou died in the blast as his known telephone number when dialled isn’t reachable.
8) The explosives were believed to have been ignited by the fire outbreak at the adjoining building next to ground zero, the building epic centre.
