Ibarapakan Congratulates Bazit Yekeen on Winning National Engineering Competition

 

Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has congratulated Mr. Bazit Yekeen on emerging as the winner of the 2024 National Engineering Competition in Nigeria.

The young scholar from Tapa Community in Ibarapa North Area of Oyo State was the best graduating student of the prestigious Abiola Ajimobi Technical University in October 2023. In August this year, Yekeen participated in the Committee of Deans of Engineering and Technology of Nigerian Universities (CODET), an annual competition for the best engineering graduates in Nigeria.

The prestigious competition, held on August 31, 2024, saw Bazit compete against the top engineering graduates from over 40 Nigerian universities and emerge victorious.

Speaking with Bazit on telephone conversation on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, Hon. Adepoju described the young scholar as a shining example of Ibarapa pride, saying that the Ibarapa region of Oyo State is a breeding ground for scholars, game-changers and future leaders.

The lawmaker said he had been following very keenly the good reactions that continue to accompany Bazit’s emergence through national dailies in Nigeria, envisaging a very bright future for Ibarapa Land.

The Ibarapa-born politician cum technocrat acknowledged the exceptional academic performance of the sons and daughters of Ibarapa extraction in different tertiary institutions of learning, stressing that in the last one year as a lawmaker representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, his platform for data collection of unemployed graduates in the federal constituency has continued to experience an impressive surge in the number of best graduates in numerous tertiary institutions of learning in Nigeria.

In his remarks also, Hon. Adepoju attributed the feat to the sustainable efforts of the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, appreciating the governor for his huge investment in the educational sector of Oyo State.

The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character, however, assured Bazit and other graduates who have made the region proud of his continued commitment to achieving their full potential for the overall development of Oyo State, Nigeria and the world at large.
