Ibarapakan Wows Programme Hosts as He Shares 21-month Achievements, Unveils Future Plans on Fresh FM
Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has shared his legislative experiences, achievements and plans for the people of his constituency on the popular Political Circuit, a programme anchored by ace journalist Mayor Isaac Brown.
Answering questions from a team of journalists on the show, including Mr Ademola Babalola, Chairman Oyo State Union of Journalists, on Saturday, March 15, 2025, Hon. Adepoju explained that he left no stone unturned to hit the ground running in achieving the core roles of a lawmaker, which include making laws and contributing to national issues for the betterment of his constituency and Nigeria as a whole.


Hon. Adepoju expressed that his constituency comprises five principal communities: Igboora, Idere, Ayete, Tapa and Igangan. He announced that no one in the communities will find his physical projects difficult to access, in addition to job opportunities, which he facilitates almost every week for the people of the constituency since his election in 2023.
The lawmaker stated that the number of employed graduates on his database is roughly 150, noting that this revelation is not debatable, as those who have been gainfully employed are real individuals whose employment is regularly published once their employment letters are released.

When asked about his plans for the next few months, the lawmaker shared pleasant news of his readiness to upgrade and reconstruct the existing Igangan Town Hall into a modern town hall, vocational and examination centres. The lawmaker disclosed that this feat was achieved in the recently passed budget through his unrelenting efforts and uncompromising desire for total infrastructural, educational and social development of Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency.
Concerning the state-of-the-art project in Igangan which will commence anytime soon, Hon. Adepoju said his vision is primarily to have a fully equipped modern town hall, vocational and educational centres, all in one, where teeming youths, including students and residents, can have their social events, different vocational skill acquisitions and examination centres, such as JAMB.
The lawmaker also stated that he ensured the provision of tractors was captured in the 2025 budget for farmers in the constituency. He noted that within the next three months, there would be tractors for farmers, eliminating the need for them to pay exorbitant fees to cultivate their land for planting various crops, thereby boosting their productivity and achieving the sustainable goal of food security in the constituency.
Aside from that, he also said that he would be replacing all faulty electric poles from Eruwa to Igangan to enable the people of his constituency enjoy a stable power supply. He assured everyone that the project was also captured in the 2025 budget through his efforts. He expressed that the issue of blackout in his constituency has caused him concern, but he is confident that the replacement of faulty electric poles will end the issue of power epilepsy in the constituency.
He promised that the project will be completed within the next three months, stating that the installation of transformers in Idere, Ayete, Tapa and Igangan would commence within the next few weeks, just like the ones in Pako and Onilado, all in Igboora, which were fully facilitated and installed between December 2024 and February this year.
The lawmaker reiterated that the needs of each community are not the same, maintaining that he would continue to listen to the people of his constituency to bring more dividends of democracy to them.

12 Held the first-ever constituency town hall meeting to chart a new course for the development of the constituency.
13 Hosted the first-class and distinction graduates with presentation of cash gift and placing them on priority list for job opportunities in order to encourage academic excellence in the constituency.
14 Distributed 600 bags of 50 kg of rice, 1200 bags of garri, chicken, and N5 million in cash to over 2,000 constituents for Christmas and New Year celebrations in December 2023.
15 Moved a motion on the need to safeguard the academic pursuits of Nigerian medical students in Ukraine.
16 Moved a motion on the need for urgent government intervention to protect hapless Nigerians from discrimination and obvious apartheid policies in the hands of foreign nationals/employers.
17 Moved a motion on the need to investigate and resume construction of the abandoned New Abeokuta-Igboora/Lanlate/Igangan 132/33 KV Double Circuit Transmission Line awarded in 2009 at the sum of one billion, nine hundred and thirty-four million, one hundred and twenty-nine thousand, four hundred and twenty-one naira, and two kobo (N1,934,129,421,02).

The lawmaker disclosed that he achieved the above in his 21 months in office, assuring his constituents of more benefits of representative government as he continues to show that being in government is service to God and humanity.
