JUST IN:Makinde Presents Employment Letter to Visually Impaired Babatunde as State Counsel at Ministry of Justice
Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde in his bid to fulfil his promises to people living with disabilities has approved the appointment of Fadiya Babatunde as a state counsel in the State Ministry of Justice.
The recipient who was presented his letter of appointment today at the State Secretariat, Agodi Ibadan by the Executive Assistant to the Governor on People with Disabilities, Barr Ayodele Adekanbi expressed his sincere appreciation to the state Governor for fulfilling his promises after several failed attempts to secure a job as a lawyer.
Babatunde who studied law at the University of Lagos said he has been applying for the civil service job during Ajimobi’s era but with no success.
Barr Adekanbi in his remark said this was done in order to encourage professionalism amongst persons living with disabilities especially visual impairment.
He also disclosed that letters of appointment would be given to 150 teaching and 50 non teaching staffs among them.
He further revealed that Oyo state government would soon launch special equipments worth several millions of naira through the state ministry of education for people living with disabilities.
