Makinde’s Aide, Rev Adeboyin Adeola Loses Father

 

Apostle Sunday Adeniji Adeola, father of Rev. Adeboyin Adeola, a key aide to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, has passed away at the age of 91. He died on December 1, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of public service and community leadership.

Born on April 16, 1933, Apostle Adeola served as the chairman of Oorelope Local Government under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the administrations of former governors Rashidi Ladoja and Adebayo Akala.

His extensive experience in governance included roles as a former auditor and treasurer, culminating in his retirement as the Director of Administration and Supply at Atisbo Local Government.

Apostle Adeola is survived by his wife, Mrs. S.T. Adeola, as well as sons and daughters who continue to uphold his values and contributions to society.

Rev. Adeboyin Adeola, currently a board member of the Housing Corporation, expressed her sorrow over the loss of her father, stating, “My father was not just a parent; he was my guiding light and a pillar of strength.His unwavering support and wisdom shaped the person I am today.”

She added, “Losing my father is an indescribable pain. He dedicated his life to serving our community, and his legacy of love and service will live on in all of us.”

Reflecting on her father’s influence, Rev. Adeola remarked, “I am grateful for the values and principles my father instilled in me. He taught me the importance of integrity, compassion, and dedication to public service.”

She continued, “Though my heart is heavy with grief, I find comfort in knowing that my father’s impact will resonate in the lives he touched and the community he served.”

“As I mourn the loss of my father, I celebrate his remarkable life and the countless contributions he made to our society. He will always be remembered as a beacon of hope and leadership.”
