The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Amb. Taofeek Arapaja has attributed the remarkable achievements under the present administration in the State to the visionary leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, noting that the governor has set a new benchmark for good governance and accountability in the state.

In a statement personally issued by Amb. Taofeek Arapaja and made available to journalists through his Personal Assistant, Bamitale Ibrahim ; Arapaja congratulates Gov. Makinde on his fifth year in office. He said : “Oyo State has, in the past five years witnessed a paradigm shift in the way governance is wrought, in terms of delivering dividends of democracy to the people without subjecting them to any hardships “.

According to him, “Oyo state has become a model for other federating units since Gov. Makinde came on board such that other states have been coming to understudy the transformational changes that Oyo state has witnessed.

His words: “I have always say this, and I will continue to say it that Governor Seyi Makinde is God sent to the people of Oyo state.  I will always say this whether his traducers like it or not. Gov. Makinde represents divine vision for Oyo State and this is evident in the quality of what he has achieved so far in office.

Under this Governor, Oyo has made tremendous progress. Is it in human capital development, which is imperative for proficiency? Is it the infrastructure? Education? Health? And most importantly prioritizing the welfare of workers and pensioners alike.

Who will say Oyo state is not making progress? That person is not being sincere with himself.” He added.
