Noise Pollution: Housing Corporation to Shut Down Erring Lounge at Bodija Estate
The Chairman of Oyo State Housing Corporation, Hon Ademola Omotoso has reiterated the commitment of the state government towards ensuring total compliance from lounge owners at Bodija by adhering to the agreed noise level of 40 decibel or shut down erring lounge or club with the aim at reducing noise pollution at Bodija estate.
Hon Omotoso stated this when he featured on a public enlightenment program on Fresh FM on Thursday, anchored by Mayor Isaac Brown, in Ibadan.


The Housing boss asserted that the Corporation has held several meetings with residents of Bodija and lounge owners, noting that resolutions and agreement had been reached on noise level which is 40 decibel.
According to Omotoso, “Bodija Estate is a residential arae but due to increase in economic activity in the State, it has now been flooded with commercial activities but still maintaining it standard.

“The rules and regulations of Housing Corporation must be followed by lounge or club owners and not to use their business activities to affect the health and wellbeing of residents of the estate.
