The umbrella and apex body of Voluntary organization in Nigeria, Oyo State uses this medium to commend the efforts of the Oyo State Government through the State’s Ministry of Education, Science and Technology with the plan to reintroduce Voluntary organization to public primary schools across the State, for character moulding and sound learning of pupils.
The reintroduction will give pupils the opportunity to get first-hand insights on preparedness towards life and seeing the future that lies in volunteering.
The NYCN Oyo State is also declaring their partnership with the ministry in achieving this objectives with her vast numbers of experienced and strength of voluntary organization across the grassroots in the state.
The council is also suggesting the introduction of the VYO’s in different categories because it gives them wide understanding in preparing for the future.
Some of the other communities are Scout Association of Boys and Girls, Boys & Girl’s Brigade, Sheriff Guard, Red Cross, Hi-Y of the YMCAs and many others.
The Youth appreciates the State Government for the bold step of building capacities into young people at tender age to avoid room for thuggery, hooliganism, bad companies.
The experience will reduce crime rate in the state and the national at large.
The NYCN Oyo State also urge youth in the state to ensure they volunteer with at least any voluntary organization to make impact together.
