Ogbomoso South Legislative Arm Hails Makinde over Conversion of LG Ad-hoc Staff to Permanent Staff

The Ogbomoso South Local Government Legislative Arm has in its today’s sitting commended the Engr Seyi Makinde led administration over the recruitments of qualified teachers into Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and Oyo State Post Primary Schools Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) and the recent conversion of LG adhoc staff into established staff.
While moving a motion on the floor of the house, the majority leader of the house, Hon. Taiwo Ogunmola, the councilor representing Ibapon ward said Governor Seyi Makinde has proven that good governance is not a rocket science and all that is needed to deliver on the mandate is to be firm, resolute and determined to be a good leader.

“The house wants to exceptionally commend the governor for being different and excellent. We also commend him for approving the conversion of local government adhoc staff into established staff across the 33 local government areas of the State.”
However, Hon. Akinsola Sola, the councilor representing Oke Olla Farm Settlement moved the motion for total renovation and resuscitation of the 49-year-old Ogbomoso Technical School.
He said if the school is given the needed attention it currently deserves, it will see to engaging those who have completed their secondary school education but could not go further as a result of financial incapacity.
He said it will also reduce the high rate of crimes because an idle hand is a devil’s workshop.
Hon. Adeleye Folaranmi, Chairman committee on education and councillor representing Ijeru II also seconded Hon. Sola’s motion.
While reacting to the motions raised by Hon. Ogunmola and Hon. Sola, the house leader, Hon. Alao Stephen Olatunji said the positions of the two councilors represent the position of the Ogbomoso South Local Government Legislative Arm.
