Orire Community Lauds Makinde, Hon Lydia on Road Repair
The residents of Oloya-Budo community on Saturday commended Oyo State Governor Seyi and Orire Local Government boss, Hon Lydia Bankole for grading the road linking the two communities.
Mr Alao Joshua who spoke on behalf of the community said, “we use this opportunity to commend our amiable governor, Seyi Makinde for the lofty projects he has embarked upon since his assumption over a year ago. We thank him for appointing a female as the chairperson of our Local Government.”
“Hon Lydia has not disappointed us since she was appointed the as the LG boss. She is a woman in hundred men.”
“This Oloya-budo road has been in a state of disrepair for years, we wrote letters to the previous administration begging them to help us grading the road, they turned deaf ear to our request.”
“Now that we have capable leaders at the helm of affairs, who came to rescue us from the unpleasant situation, we must commend them.”
On her part, the caretaker chairperson of Orire Local Government, Hon Lydia Bankole said, as a servant of the people, it is duty to to hearken to the yearnings of the residents in her domain, hence the need to implement programmes that will improve the socio-economic activities of the people.
She thanked Governor Makinde for giving her the opportunity to serve the people of Orire Local Government. Hon Lydia promised that more developmental projects she has embarked upon would be completed soon.
