Otunba Ogunsola (Omo Obasanjo) Donates N1.4 Million to PDP LG, Ward Excos at Inaugural Meeting
A prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Otunba Olusina John Ogunsola politically known and popularly adopted as (Omo Obasanjo) Friday 24th October, 2025, donated the sum of One Million and four hundred thousand naira (N1.4 million) to the party at the inaugural general meeting of PDP in Idi-Ayunre, where the list of elected wards’ excos was read to the members and new wards’ Chairmen were inducted.
Speaking with Goalpoacher News after the meeting, Otunba Ogunsola said the money donated was a symbolic gesture to “wedge the kola nut”—a traditional act signifying peace, unity and goodwill among all stakeholders.
He urged members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to prioritise strengthening the party’s internal structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Ogunsola appealed to party faithful to understand and be patient with divergent views emerging from all members.
“Everyone has a unique approach to politics. We must understand these differences and remain committed to unity, especially as we prepare for what lies ahead,” he said.
“If we successfully consolidate our party, everyone’s aspirations can be realised in due course,” Ogunsola concluded.
