The stage is set, the banners are hung, and the excitement is palpable as the Ibadan North People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gears up for a momentous occasion – the official flag-off of Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade’s campaign for chairmanship, alongside his running mate, Akeem Ayoade, and 12 councillorship candidates.
Today, March 6th, 2023, at the front of the Ibadan North PDP secretariat, Yemetu, the general public, party faithful from both within and outside the local government are expected to converge at 12 pm to grace the occasion.
The campaign flag-off promises to be informative, and an entertaining affair, with the renowned Fuji Icon, Taye Currency, slated to perform and uplift the spirits of attendees with his infectious music.

Fundamentally, the Ibadan North PDP Chairmanship Candidate, Oluwaseun Olufade, will reel out his manifestos, outlining his plans and vision for the development of Ibadan North Local Government Area.
The highlight of the event will be the return of former Ibadan North Local Government Executive Chairman, Hon. Demola Omotosho, to the PDP after a stint with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
GoalPoacher News reports that Otunba Seye Famojuro had vowed to bring back all the aggrieved PDP chieftains that left the party prior to the 2023 elections.
Before now, Demola Omotosho had attended two social and public events with Otunba Seye, one of which they duo dressed in the same attire.
Omotosho’s return is anticipated to serve as a morale booster for the party and is expected to draw significant attention.
Moreover, the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) Ibadan North chapter has announced the collapse of its structure in support of the PDP chairmanship candidate, Oluwaseun Olufade, and his running mate, Akeem Ayoade.
This strategic move further strengthens the PDP’s position in the upcoming elections.
