Oyo East LG Chairman, Hon Oluokun Expresses Gratitude Following Reinstatement

 

The Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, Hon. Olusola Peter Oluokun, has expressed heartfelt appreciation for the support he has received from various stakeholders, following his reinstatement.

In his appreciation speech, Oluokun, who began by thanking the Almighty God for His blessings and mercy, extended appreciation to His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, for his visionary leadership and commitment to the progress of Oyo State.

“Your dedication to making Oyo State the gateway to sustainable investments in Nigeria is truly inspiring,” he said, affirming his determination to work tirelessly to justify the trust placed in him.

He also acknowledged the significant role of his mentor, Senator Monsurat Sunmonu Aduke, whose guidance and unwavering support have greatly influenced his journey in public service.

“Your leadership and wisdom have been a defined blessing to me,” he added, wishing her a life free from sorrow.”

He further thanked the honorable members of the Oyo State House of Assembly for their relentless efforts in promoting good governance, expressing his humility and gratitude for the opportunity to serve as chairman, recognising their collective contributions to the stability and progress of the local government.

The reinstated chairman also acknowledged the hard work of his honorable councillors, emphasising their importance in the governance process, “Come rain or shine, you shall always receive the mercy of God.”

While addressing the citizens of Oyo East, Oluokun expressed appreciation for their resilience and support, highlighting the shared challenges and successes that have shaped their community and reaffirmed his commitment to serving with dedication, transparency, and integrity.

“As we move forward, I look forward to collaborating with all of you to achieve even greater heights for our community,” he concluded.
