Oyo Embraces NYCN, Congratulates New Excos as Agbeja Bows Out

The Oyo state Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) conducted her Elected Congress yesterday Thursday 15th July, 2021 at the Western Hall of the Parliament Building, Secretariat Ibadan.
The election was conducted after the setting-up of the Congress Planning Committee and Electoral Planning Committee by the Management of the Council in accordance with the Bye-law that guides the affairs of the Council.
The congress was graced by notable government dignitaries such as the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Administration, Special Assistant to Gov on Youth and Sports, Special Assistant to Gov on Community Relation, Stakeholders in Youth Development Led by the Permanent Secretary of Oyo State Ministry of Youth and Sports, Executive Secretary, Oyo State Agency for youth Development, Directors and staff of Oyo State Agency for youth Development.
Representative both within Southwest region and the National level of the National Youth Council were all present.The program recorded series of events like affiliation of new organization in Youth development and advocacy, reading of the reports by the outgone executive, constitution of the Election Petition Panel by the Congress, election into offices and inauguration of the new elected officers by the Vice-President for Southwest of NYCN supervised by Special Assistant to Gov on Youth and Sports with the Directors and staff of Oyo State Agency for youth Development.
The outgone Chairman, Amb. Adebobola Agbeja could not hide her joy when giving the account of the activities of her tenure within 2017-2021, the Vice-President NYCN revealed that Oyo state Youth Council has set another record for conduction a free and credible election which surpassed that of the Ogun state now. In his acceptance speech, Comr. AbdulQuadry Abdulsalam the new elected Chairman appreciated the Congress for giving his team their mandate to serve, he promised stability of the Council aimed towards positive accelerated youth engagements. Immediately after the Elective Congress, the SA Youth and Sports Hon Kazeem Bolarinwa led the new elected executives of the NYCN Oyo State to meet the Deputy Chief of Staff and SSA SDG to welcome and familiarize with the State Government.
