In a remarkable gesture of love and compassion, the First Lady of Oyo State, Engr. Tamunominini Olufunke Makinde earlier today celebrated the wife of Ibadan South East Local Government Chairman, Deaconess Omolola Oladunni Alawode during her 50th birthday thanksgiving at Pilgrim Miracle Church, No 33 Oremeji Street, Ososami in Ibadan.
Addressing the gathering, Engr. Taminouminini Makinde described the event as an opportunity to celebrate Deaconess Omolola Alawode on her 50th birthday as she was not around during the celebration party which was held two weeks ago. And so today, she was happy to attend the birthday thanksgiving personally, to honour God for His Grace, faithfulness and benevolence towards Alawode’s family.
Reflecting on her relationship with Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode’s family, Engr. Makinde said she had known Hon. Alawode for a long time, described him as a devoted Christian with good heart. She Prayed that God will foil all evil plans against His purpose for Hon. Alawode’s life and that God should enable him fulfill his divine purpose.
Earlier in her remarks, Engr. Taminouminini appreciates the General overseer of Pilgrims Miracle Church, Rev. Ademolami Afolayan and specially the preacher of the sermon, Pastor Ayooluwa Afolayan, She appreciated the way he explained the passage. She was thankful for the time and effort he put into preparing the messages.
The First Lady then wishes the celebrant many more years ahead on the auspicious ceremony of her 50th birthday and prayed to God to protect, guide and uphold the family of Alawode.
In her shown of gratitude, Deaconess Alawode appreciates God Almighty for sparing her life to witness 50 years of age in good health. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the First Lady, Engr. Makinde whom she described as an epitome of greatness and a beacon of hope, whose contributions to the development of Oyo state are unquantifiable.
She thanked her for finding time out of her tight schedule to join her in appreciating God for His protection and mercy towards her household.
The celebrant appreciated her loving husband for being such a pillar of support and strength. She thanked him for his amazing love and devotion to the family.
Deaconess Alawode extends her appreciation to all the Pastors of Pilgrims Miracles Church, Political Leaders and Functionaries and Management team of Ibadan South East Local Government.
While giving the vote of thanks, the celebrant’s husband, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode valued the presence of everyone present at the programme, most especially, the Oyo State First Lady, Engr. Taminouminini Makinde saying he was overwhelmed with gratitude for her presence.
“Ma, I appreciate your contribution towards my political career, am overwhelmed with gratitude for your persistent and reliable support”. Hon. Alawode reiterates.
The General overseer of the church concluded the service with prayer for the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde and his wife, asking God to bless them with good health and endow them with godly counsel and wisdom to lead Oyo state to a greater height
