Oyo First Lady, Mrs Makinde Launches Hon. Ramata Dabo’s ‘Female Leadership Legend’ Initiative
In a groundbreaking move that is set to redefine the landscape for female leadership in the city of Ibadan, a visionary new platform has emerged, poised to propel women to unprecedented heights in their respective careers.
Dubbed the “Female Leadership Legend”, this transformative initiative, spearheaded by the esteemed Hon. Ramota Agberemi Dabo RAD, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, is poised to be a game-changer for career-driven women in Ibadan.
Unlike previous women’s groups that have largely revolved around political agendas, this remarkable endeavor is solely focused on empowering women across all professional spheres, creating a dynamic and inclusive ecosystem where they can thrive, network, and reach new levels of success.
According to Hon. Dabo, “This is a historic moment for the women of Ibadan. For the first time, we are coming together not as politicians, but as driven, ambitious, and trailblazing professionals who are ready to lift each other up and redefine what it means to be a female leader in this city.”
The launch of the “Female Leadership Legend” has generated palpable excitement among the city’s career-oriented women, who have long yearned for a platform that caters specifically to their unique needs and aspirations.”
“With a diverse range of mentorship programmes, skill-building workshops, and networking opportunities on the horizon, this initiative promises to be a transformative force that will propel Ibadan’s women to the forefront of their respective industries.”
“This is not just about individual success. This is about creating a powerful sisterhood, a movement that will inspire and empower women across Ibadan to dream bigger, reach higher, and shatter the glass ceilings that have held us back for far too long.”
She noted that, “For too long, the narrative of women’s leadership in Ibadan has been dominated by politics and social welfare initiatives. While those are important, we wanted to create a space that is solely focused on cultivating and amplifying the voices of women who are leading the charge in their respective fields – whether it’s business, technology, healthcare, or the arts.”
“The ‘Female Leadership Legend’ is not just about celebrating the achievements of individual women. It’s about building a powerful network of support, mentorship, and collaboration that will empower all of our members to reach new heights in their careers. Together, we will rewrite the script on what it means to be a successful woman in Ibadan.”
“This platform is a testament to the incredible talent, resilience, and ambition of the women in our city. By creating this community, we are sending a clear message that Ibadan’s female leaders are a force to be reckoned with – one that is poised to transform the economic and social landscape of our city for generations to come.”
“Our ultimate goal is to inspire young girls and women across Ibadan to dream big, to believe in their own capabilities, and to know that there is a thriving community of support waiting for them as they pursue their professional aspirations. This is just the beginning of what I know will be a truly groundbreaking movement.”
Hon. Dabo RAD revealed that the inspiration for the “Female Leadership Legend” came from a leadership training programme in Dubai, which was facilitated by the wife of the Governor, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde.
