Oyo Govt Engages Stakeholders In Oyo On Development Of 2021 Annual Operational Plan For Health Ministry

Oyo State Government in its quest to further improve on health care delivery on Monday begun a five day workshop for stakeholders in health sector to develop a workable Annual Operational Plan ( AOP) template for health ministry ahead of year 2021 .
The ongoing workshop organized by Oyo state ministry of health , at Plaza De Aruna Hotel, provided platform for participants from within and outside Oyo state to brainstorm with a view to designing programmes would take care health situations of people of the state alongside appropriate budget for effective implemantation .
Oyo State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Bashir Bello , while speaking at the workshop , said the formulation of 2021 operational plans was essential to ensure adequate treatment and prevention of all forms of diseases .
Dr. Bello , who assured the residents of the state of comprehensive health care delivery ,emphasized on the need for proper planning and total dedication to ensure effective implementation of draft copy.
In his remarks , Lead Facilitator , Bolaji Aduagba of Federal Ministry of Health, hinted that the introduction of workshop , emanated as result of non- performance at both federal and state levels during the execution of previous plans .
Aduagba , reiterated that the template of annual operational plan would serve as blue brint to be followed in achieving set goals in health sector of each state of the country .
He , urged partners of various programmes in the state to endeavour to support the agenda by sponsoring programmes of choice by 2021 from the operational plan of the ministry for the benefits of the populace .
In their separate remarks , Mr. Popoola Olufemi of Health Systems Consult Limited , ( HSCL) and Representative of World Health Organization in Oyo State , Dr . Marcus Oludare , commended the state government for its cooperation and commitment to the delivery of quality health care for people of the state .
The duo, thereafter promised to contribute their quota for successful implementation of the project .
