The Chairman of the Oyo State Hospital Management Board, Mogaji Akin Fagbemi (Ph.D), has earned a First Degree (LLB) in Law from Lead City University, Ibadan, a milestone he described as both humbling and inspiring.

Speaking shortly after his convocation ceremony on Monday, Mogaji Akin Fagbemi expressed profound appreciation to the management and faculty of the university for what he called “an intellectually enriching and transformative academic journey.”

“I consider this achievement a significant responsibility. This degree is not just a certificate; it is a call to deepen my contribution to public service, strengthen institutional governance and ensure that our health sector continues to benefit from sound legal and administrative frameworks.”

Fagbemi noted that the rigorous study and academic exposure he received would directly impact his approach to policy development in Oyo State’s health system.

“This programme stretched my capacity and broadened my understanding of the law as a tool for reform. It has reinforced my belief that knowledge must be continuously updated, especially for anyone occupying positions that shape public welfare.”

He also expressed gratitude to God Almighty Governor Seyi Makinde, his darling wife, children , colleagues, mentors and associates who supported him throughout the academic process.

“I am grateful for the encouragement I received at every stage. My family stood by me, my colleagues motivated me, and the leadership of Oyo State provided a conducive environment for growth. I dedicate this success to everyone who believed in me.”
Fagbemi further reaffirmed his commitment to deploying his legal expertise, academic experience and administrative insight to improve service delivery across state-owned hospitals.
“In the coming years, I intend to use the knowledge gained from this degree to help build stronger systems, promote accountability and support reforms that make our health institutions more responsive,” he stated.
