Oyo Housing Corporation Warns Against Encroaching on Government Properties as Chairman Inspects Sites (PHOTO)
The Chairman, Oyo State Housing Corporation, Barrister Bayo Lawal has enjoined organizations in partnership with the corporation on the development of its various estates to keep to the terms of the agreement in order to maximize the benefits of such partnership.
Barrister Lawal gave the admonition during an on-the-spot-assessment visit to some of the sites of the corporation.
The Chairman, who led the Board and Management of the Corporation during the visit, appraised the level of work done on the 360 housing units project at Ajoda New Town, the 45 housing units at Bodija as well as Agbowo Shopping Complex.
The Chairman urged the development partners to redouble their efforts in order to deliver on schedule. He particularly expressed satisfaction on the progress of work on Omituntun Estate in Ajoda New Town, Ibadan with assurance that the estate will be available for allocation to interested members of the public within the next few weeks.
According to a statement signed by the Corporation’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Barrister Kunle Sanni, the Chairman used the opportunity to warn those encroaching on the Corporation’s land, especially at Ajoda, to desist from such act as the Corporation would not tolerate any infringement on its rights.
