The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Oyo State has lauded all the various leaders, stakeholders, members of the party for their unalloyed support, dedication and commitment towards the success of Governor Seyi Makinde led administration from 2019 to 2023.
The appreciation message was contained in a statement issued this Monday by the State Secretary of the party, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke and made available to journalists in Ibadan.
Adeleke noted that the success and achievements recorded by the leader of the party and head of government, Engineer Seyi Makinde (DSc) under Omituntun 1.0 were made possible by the support the party enjoyed from party members across the 33 local government areas of the state.
The party therefore used the medium to invite all party members to the Swearing-in and inauguration of the Governor Seyi Makinde for a second term in office.
Recall that PDP gubernatorial candidate, Governor Seyi Makinde trashed the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Teslim Folarin at the March 19 gubernatorial election where the governor won in 31 out of the 33 local governments. The statement by Adeleke reads:
“The leadership of the Party in Oyo State uses this medium to appreciate our leaders, Members, Stakeholders and elders and supporters for their supports for the PDP Led government since 2019.
“Our successes and achievements in Omituntun 1.0 was massive because we enjoyed the support of our party members, we thank you very much.
“We are getting ready for the inauguration of Omituntun 2.0 and we use this medium to invite all our Party members to the swearing in and inauguration of Omituntun 2.0.
“Further information on the inauguration event will be released to our members soon.” Adeleke concluded.
