The Park Management System (PMS) in Oyo State has celebrated and rejoiced with Governor Seyi Makinde on the occasion of his sixth anniversary in office, whose vision and leadership have significantly transformed the state by ensuring a safer and more organised environment for all stakeholders.
Chairman of PMS in the state, Alhaji Wasiu Tomiwa Omolewa fondly known as Tommy, who spoke on behalf of all branch chairmen, described Governor Makinde as the “Builder of Modern Oyo State.”
According to him, “Governor Makinde has not only improved infrastructure but has also instilled a sense of orderliness in our parks. His commitment to peace and unity among all stakeholders is commendable.”

Tommy described him as a pivotal figure who has contributed immensely to the success of PMS in the state.
He noted that Otunba Famojuro’s unwavering support has been instrumental in implementing policies that prioritise the welfare of park operators and users.
“His dedication to the vision of a modern Oyo State has inspired all of us in the PMS. Together, we have achieved remarkable strides in ensuring peace and orderliness in our parks.”
Tommy emphasised the synergy between Governor Seyi Makinde and Otunba Seye Famojuro as a powerful partnership that has facilitated numerous initiatives benefiting both PMS and the state as a whole.
“This collaboration has enabled us to enforce policies such as the prohibition of alcohol sales at motor parks and ensuring no parking or picking up of passengers at unauthorised locations,” he remarked.
Tommy noted that his leadership as chairman of the PMS in the state has witnessed significant improvements, including a focus on corporate dressing among park operators and the promotion of inclusive administration as directed by the governor.
“We have fostered unity among all stakeholders, ensuring that everyone has a voice in the decision-making process. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with the governor to build an even better Oyo State for all,” Tommy concluded.
