Oyo SDGs Begins ‘Needs Assessment’ Across All LG, LCDA
Oyo State Government through the office of the Sustainable Development Goals on Monday flagged off the needs assessment of all the Local Governments in the state.
Speaking at the town hall meeting held at Ibadan North East Local Government and Ibadan East LCDA, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Makinde on Sustainable Development Goals, Hon Kunle Yusuff MON, said the interactive session with various community leaders became imperative with the view to meeting the needs of the people at the grassroots.
He noted that this initiative is line with Governor Makinde’s administrative policy. He stressed this will afford the people at the grassroots to interface with Government and to make them present their needs to the government at local and state levels.
Speaking further, the PDP chieftain who has given Oyo SDGs a facelift with various developmental strides the SDGs has recorded since his appointment as the man to head the office.
In their separate remarks, the caretaker chairmen Ibadan North East LG and Ibadan East LCDA, Ibrahim Akintayo and Abiodun Babalola lauded Governor Makinde and the SDG boss, Kunle Yusuff for the interactive session. They stressed that the forum will have positive impacts on all communities in their councils.
The event was also held at Ibadan North Local Government. Speaking, the caretaker chairman, Are Latoosa LCDA, Hon Oshoniyi Kazeem commended Governor Makinde and Hon Kunle Yusuff for this remarkable feat.
The town hall meeting had in attendance officials of the Oyo State Sustainable Development Goals, various community, religious and party leaders.
