Oyo State Housing Corporation Launches Ambitious Plan for 2,000 Affordable Homes at Ajoda Estate
In a groundbreaking move aimed at addressing the housing deficit in Oyo State, the Housing Corporation, under the leadership of Chairman Hon. Ademola Omotoso, hosted an investors forum on August 14 and 15, 2024.
This exciting initiative seeks to secure partners for the construction of 2,000 affordable housing units at Ajoda New Town within the next year.
According to him, forty-two passionate developers expressed interest in this ambitious project, highlighting the significant demand for affordable housing solutions in the region.
He explained that after a rigorous selection process, 30 developers were shortlisted, showcasing the robust interest and potential for collaboration in this endeavor.
Omotoso emphasised the corporation’s commitment to delivering these homes in just 11 months, stating, “Our vision is not only achievable but essential for the community.”
He further described Ajoda New Town as a “Gold Mine” for developers, offering unparalleled opportunities for lucrative investments.
“Our goal is to make affordable housing a reality for every citizen of Oyo State. This forum is a vital step towards that vision.”
