In a bold move to further improve water access across Oyo State, the Oyo State Water Corporation is now shifting its focus to the Ogbomoso Zone, a region that has long faced challenges with water supply.

Under the visionary leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, the corporation has made remarkable strides in providing clean and sustainable water to the residents of Oyo State, and the shift to Ogbomoso Zone signals the government’s continued commitment to bridging the water gap across the state.

Governor Makinde’s administration has proven to be a trailblazer in the water sector, and the Oyo State Water Corporation has seen significant improvements in water infrastructure, reaching underserved areas, and rehabilitating dilapidated water facilities.

The focus on Ogbomoso Zone is a critical part of the administration’s broader strategy to ensure that no community is left behind in the provision of basic services like clean water.

In recent years, the administration’s efforts have resulted in the rehabilitation of various water treatment plants and pipelines, the introduction of metering systems, and the expansion of water supply networks.

Through these projects, thousands of residents have gained access to potable water, improving their quality of life and significantly reducing the health risks associated with poor water supply.

Governor Makinde’s leadership has been pivotal in securing public-private partnerships that have led to substantial investments in the water sector.

These collaborations have not only brought in technical expertise but have also helped mobilize resources for the expansion of water supply services.

As a result, the state is now better equipped to handle the increasing demand for water, particularly in rapidly growing urban areas like Ibadan, while also ensuring rural communities are catered to.

The Ogbomoso Zone, historically underserved in terms of reliable water supply, will benefit immensely from these strategic collaborations.

The new partnerships, combined with the state’s commitment to rehabilitating and expanding water infrastructure, will bring much-needed relief to the people of Ogbomoso and surrounding areas.

The collaboration was facilitated by the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Afolabi Ghandi, whose royal intervention played a crucial role in ensuring the success of this initiative.

His leadership and commitment to the development of Ogbomoso have been instrumental in fostering stronger ties between the government and the local communities to address pressing infrastructural challenges.

At the helm of this transformation is Hon. Elias Adeojo, the Chairman of the Oyo State Water Corporation.

His leadership has been instrumental in steering the corporation towards its current success.

His efforts are reflective of the broader goal of Governor Seyi Makinde in making Oyo State a model of good governance and effective service delivery.

As the corporation turns its focus to Ogbomoso, it is clear that the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde, coupled with the leadership of Hon. Adeojo, is committed to ensuring that the water needs of every citizen in the state are met.

The people of Oyo State, particularly those in Ogbomoso Zone, have every reason to look forward to a future of reliable and sustainable water supply.

Governor Seyi Makinde’s continued investment in the water sector is a testament to his administration’s commitment to public welfare.

His focus on long-term solutions for water access is laying the foundation for a healthier, more prosperous Oyo State.

Under his leadership, Oyo State is indeed witnessing an era of transformation, where infrastructure development, environmental protection, and the welfare of citizens are all top priorities.

The ongoing efforts of the Oyo State Water Corporation in the Ogbomoso Zone are part of a larger vision to create an Oyo State where every community has access to clean and safe water.

This strategic leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde is set to bring lasting change to the water sector and improve the lives of Oyo State residents for generations to come.
